Sgt. Pepper asked:
I’ve got all my bills paid off (school and credit cards) and i was looking to cancel all the credit accounts and just open one account with a card that has good benefits for using it. Then i’m going to pay my insurance, phone, car and other expenditures with that card and just pay it off every month so i don’t have to pay interest, but i get benefits. Anyone know of any good cards?

How could I work out my monthly mortgage payments if I only had a pen and paper?

fergl asked:
I know I could use a simple mortgage calculator, but I am curious to know how my mortgage payment is arrived at. Is it cumulative interest plus principal divided by years and months. Please could you supply a detailed example as I not too hot with maths. For example a £100000 mortgage at 5% over 25 years.

Personal and public liability insurance – Is it possible to get a combined policy?

Antony G asked:
I’m about to set up a small sole trader business in the UK making furniture and I am going to be moving into a small industrial unit which I will be renting. I have been advised by the people who are renting out the unit that I need to get personal and public liability insurance. I have done a few searches on the internet but I can’t see any companies that have a combined policy. In other words it seems I have to get two seperate insurance policies for personal and public insurance. Is this right? Or is it the case that public liability also includes personal liability.

Kaytee asked:
My current credit score is 745 and I’ve built it solely by using credit cards and paying on time (but never had any loans). Somebody told me that the abscence of installement-paid loan will prevent my score from climbing much higher. Is it true? Should I take some consumer loan to boost my credit score since I am planning to apply for a mortgage in the near future?
