We live in Florida, and my son has just turned 16, He wants to get his licenses but we don’t want our insurance to go up too much. From what I hear it is very expensive, yet i hear other people saying that some auto insurance company’s have very cheap rates for adding a first time driver. So if there are any other parents that know of a company that they use that is pretty cheap please let me know.
Thank you.
Yes we are planing on “adding” him to our plan.

I have a savings account at Wells Fargo, is it possible to get a debit card for that account?

I used to have a Checking Account, and a Savings Account. I transfered all of my funds to my savings account, while my debit card was on the way to my address. Is my debit card linked to my Checking Account, or Savings Account, or both? Also, is it possible to request a new debit card for my Savings Account from Wells Fargo?

How to pay off credit cards enrolled in a debt management program?

GL asked:
I have been in a debt management program with a local credit counseling service for about 8 months. My parents have offered to co-sign a loan so I can pay off the cards. The loan with the bank is a lower interest rate than the cards and will pay them off faster with a lower payment each month. Should I pay the cards directly or go through the credit counseling service? Which is better for my credit score?

I have 4 credit cards with approx. $25,000.00 worth of debt on them. I would like to get ahold of a non-profit debt counseling service in order to get rid of the high interest rates and pay them off alot sooner instead of only paying the interest and the over the limit fees. I have not used these cards for the past 5-6 years and the accounts are closed except for me making payments on them. I am not even touching the actual principal that I owe, although, I have probably paid enough on these cards to have actually paid off the actual principal. How is the best way to do this and what are some reputalbe non-profit agencies that will help achieve this? I have also heard that some credit cards will take a settlement on some accounts. Is this a good idea and how much of the amount owed do they usually want? I realize that this may hurt my credit rating but to be honest with you it isn’t worth squat now, so what is the difference? Does the debt consolidation hurt your credit as well?

How long is a insurance company required to give before they cancel your insurance?

My insurance called me yesterday and informed me that they would be cancelling my insurance because I have rented my house to a group of students. They gave me two weeks to find new insurance before they cut me off. I’m having trouble finding someone who will insure us. If they cut my insurance, my bank will cancel my mortgage, and I guess that means I’d lose the house. Is this insurance company allowed to drop me in this manner. When we got the insurance two months ago there was nobody living in the house, but it was rental insurance. We never lied or anything, we were completely honest through the whole process.

I recently bought a magnetic card case to carry my credit cards and it seems that the magnet is destroying my credit cards. I had a case exactly like this (same brand, same type) before and the magnets never did this before. Is there anything I can do?

I already wrote the company that makes the card case and they were no help at all.
