can you open a savings account in another state?

I mean if I live in one state and open a savings in another.

    Yes you can! You can open accounts anywhere in the world! All you need to do is talk with an account representative and they’ll do the rest. The only thing I would watch out for is privacy of information – they’re going to ask you a lot of personal questions so it’s best not to do it over a cell phone. Face to Face is best.

    Yes you can. I have an account in Mass and one in NY. I live in NY but visit mass a few times a year. 90% of my family is in Mass. So me having an account there makes it easier for family to deposit money into my account there. Then I can transfer to my Ny account if I want to. I do not do that however. I keep the money in there. Kind of like an out of site out of mind type deal and I have some money in the account because of it.
